Are you someone who loves to try new restaurants while on vacation? Maybe you live along the Treasure Coast, and you are looking for a new favorite restaurant. You are in luck! Use this list of some fabulous restaurants in Vero Beach you need to try.
Whether you are looking for something beachside or a cute spot in the historic downtown, this list has you covered. All you need to do is work up your appetite and try to decide what you want to order.
Citrus Grillhouse
An Oceanside Gem
What do you get when you combine fabulous food with an oceanfront view? You get the Citrus Grillhouse. Located on Ocean Drive in Vero Beach, this gorgeous restaurant offers up a varied menu for both lunch and dinner.
The ample outdoor seating made for a perfect lunch on a sunny day. The menu changes frequently and the daily specials are always worth consideration. In fact, Chris chose a daily special. He couldn’t resist the smashburger, which was superb. I opted for a ham and cheese baguette with a goat cheese salad because I am a sucker for anything with goat cheese. Both were excellent and I wouldn’t hesitate to order them again.
Make sure to check their website to see if they are offering their early dine specials or their happy hour. They often have both, especially during the lower season.

Scampi Grill
An Italian Delight
When I am craving Italian, Scampi Grill is my top choice. They have crafted the perfect mix of traditional pasta, chicken and seafood-based dishes. Al fresco dining makes this a great choice for celebrating a special event or just an evening out.
We thoroughly enjoyed our last meal there, which included the heirloom and burrata salad, lasagna and wild mushroom ravioli. I can highly recommend all three as well as the tiramisu. I have yet to eat at an authentic Italian restaurant and not end the meal with tiramisu.
Scampi Grill is a popular restaurant in Vero Beach and is consistently busy. Reservations are recommended and very easy to make through their website. You can even specify indoor or outdoor seating.

Curfew
Small Plates and Cocktails
This relative newcomer has quickly become one of the fabulous restaurants in Vero Beach that you need to try. Specializing in small plates, Curfew is the perfect spot to go with friends.
We went with another couple and we each chose 2 small plates to share among the table. We found that this was just the right amount of food for the 4 of us. Just a few of the plates we chose were, fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese spread, meatballs on polenta and chicken wings. All three were wonderful! We enjoyed everything we ordered.
Along with the small plates, the cocktails are an added bonus to Curfew’s menus. The smoked Old Fashioned was expertly crafted. On top of that, the beer and wine selection were also on point. So, grab some friends and take turns selecting small plates for the table.
*Note-You can also choose from their standard menu if small plates aren’t what you are looking for in a dining experience.

Post & Vine
Upscale American
Right across the street from Curfew you will find Post & Vine, an upscale American restaurant. This is one of our favorite restaurants and we often take visitors there for dinner. As with several of the other restaurants, Post & Vine has outdoor seating and a fun vibe.
We have had several different items, and they have all been really good. Just a few of the things we have ordered; the French onion soup is a great starter, pretzel and bacon crusted chicken, P&V chicken sandwich, P&V burger with caramelized onions and brie, and their meatloaf with cremini mushrooms and brown Sherry mushroom gravy. We have a hard time trying new things because we enjoy our “go-to” favorites.
Don’t look past their pizzas either. They have a wood fired oven where they make all of their creative pizzas. Post & Vine has something for everyone.
